Crohn's Disease Cure

Crohn's disease is characterized by a chronic and long lasting ulceration of a section or sections of the digestive tract. The ulceration typically extends through all 4 layers of the intestinal wall and involves the rntire digestive system. It ranges from the mouth to the anus, as well as the adjacent lymph nodes.

The inflamed parts heal, leaving scar tissuethat narrows the passageway.

  • Cronic Diarrhea
  • Pain in the upper and lower abdomen
  • Fever
  • Headaches
  • Malabsorption of nutrients
  • Steatorrhea - excessive fat in the stool causing it to look pale and float
  • Loss of appetite
  • Loss of energy
  • Loss of weight
  • Mouth and anal sores
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting

Chronic bleeding may cause iron deficiency anemia. If the ulcerated intestinal wall leaks, peritonitis can result.

Those with Crohn's disease may develop structures that partially obstruct the bowel. They may also develop fistulas, abnormal passages that lead from one loop of the intestine to another, or even to other organs.

Left untreated, bowel function gradually deteriorates and can become life threatening.
Crohn's disease is the stage after ulcerative colitis. The main difference is ulcerative colitis is limited to the mucosa and the submucosa. These are the first 2 layers of the bowel lining adjacent to the lumen "central passageway". Crohn's disease involves the first 2 layers plus the next 2 layers, the muscular and connective tissue layer. Crohn's disease penetrates 4 layers of tissue.
